Has any body tried that?Or would it be better to just get the paint taken off and anodized? (I duno wat material it is.. alum or mild steel)I am guessing if I went this road it would be just as cheap to get a new coolerp.s I have no idea if there are threads on this topic I browsed back only a little bit Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/28078-no-more-black-cooler/ Share on other sites

As far as surface area being painted you are probably only spraying 0.0001% of the overall effective surface area of the fins... the only problem with painting it is you will need to re-spray it a few times in it's lifetime... the paint chips off. Though yeah the amount of bugs and crap you will now see acumulating on your new paint job, basically dont thow the can out half empty as you'll need to touch it up every 6mth or so.
