That being said, stupid things can still happen by those operating a boat. Quote copy the video and send it to EVERY HIGH SCHOOL IN AUSTRALIA.I agree. Every so often, you see the totaled vehicle sitting up on display but that is normally in the country and is a reminder targeted at those who may drive tired.A similar thing is done in the U.S. but is a reminder of the results of drunk driving instead.Education has to be the key here IMO. The difference being though, the amount of training and education required in obtaining a ppl is much more stringent than getting a drivers licence. madxr6 Member 7 Member For: 17y 2m 18d Posted 11/05/08 12:26 PM Share Posted 11/05/08 12:26 PM (edited) A few days ago the driver of the Late model camira who was 17 at the time when he crashed the car , killing his girlfriend, was on trial. He says that he would have never drag raced with her in the car, and remembers nothing from the actual crash, the last thing he remembers from the night is looking her straight into the eyes and telling her he loved her. He was found guilty of dangerous driving causing death and will be sentenced next month and faces a maximum of 4 years in jail.http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2008/04/29/2230585.htm Quote The Perth Children's Court has been told two teenagers were drag racing before a crash which claimed the life of a 14-year-old girl in Eden Hill in 2006.The girl's boyfriend is on trial charged with dangerous driving causing death. It is alleged the learner driver reached speeds of up to 120 kilometres and hour as he raced down Morley Drive before losing control and crashing into a wall. His girlfriend of two weeks suffered serious head injuries and died. The other driver, a 19-year-old man, testified the car hit him on a bend and there was nothing he do to avoid the crash. The court was told he originally denied he was racing but changed his story after making a deal with police. He testified he always wanted to tell the truth, but was too scared and denied he simply wanted his charges dropped. The trial continues.http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2008/04/30/2231758.htm Quote A 19-year-old man accused of killing his girlfriend in a drag race says the last thing he remembers of the night was telling her he loved her.The man is on trial in the Perth Children's Court on a charge of dangerous driving causing death. It is alleged in 2006 he was racing another car at speeds of up to 120 kilometres an hour before losing control and crashing into a wall killing 14-year-old Hayley Cusato. He has testified he has no recollection of the crash but remembers it was an average Friday night and his last memory was looking Hayley straight in the eyes and telling her he loved her.The 19-year-old broke down as he told the court he would never have sped with Hayley in the car because she was against hoons and he did not want to attract attention to himself because he was a learner driver. The trial continues.http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2008/04....htm?site=perth Quote The man in on trial in the Perth Children's Court charged with dangerous driving causing death. It's alleged that in 2006, when aged 17 and still a learner driver, he was drag racing another vehicle along Morley Drive before losing control and smashing into a wall. His girlfriend Hayley Cusato died from serious head injuries. The man has told the court they were having a normal Friday night before the crash, and he was making the most of the time because they saw each other so infrequently. But he has testified that he remembers nothing from the actual crash. The trial continues.http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2008/05....htm?site=perth Quote A 19-year-old man has been found guilty in the Perth Children's Court of killing his girl friend in a drag race 2 years ago.The man was a 17-year-old learner driver when he raced a P-plater down Morley Drive at speeds up to 110 kilometres an hour before crashing into a wall, killing 14-year-old Hayley Cusato.Children's court judge Denis Reynolds today found him guilty of dangerous driving causing death. The man will be sentenced next month and faces a maximum of 4 years in jail.
