I ran an 11 sec pass last night at WSID on street tyres. It was a bit slippery but I held on and kept the foot down.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the record is on street 17" factory dunlops ...

Bloody awesome effort that :pooh:

It was great to watch as it looked effortless.

Great work John. Good peddling. The burnout was a beauty too.

You forgot to mention that that was with a 330rwkw tune at only 11psi. I think that's a record in itself. Its a testimate to your tuner.

1.93 60' on factory Dunlops has gotta be close to the record.

I can only imagine what your quarter mile time will be when your tuner cuts loose with a full blown race tune and you get some semi slicks :spoton:

I guess we'll have to watch this space.

Excellent effort John.

I think only Craig has done an 11 sec pass on factory dunlops, and he's done quite a few more passes than you.

The only way most guys here get into the 11s bracket is via MT tyres, so a low 11 is looking good on better tyres, and perhaps a 10 when fully tuned to potential.

Jim at Tunehouse is getting excellent results with his tuning.

Good work John, Maybe next time you will not leave me in the office and I can go take a video of the Run and post it on the Forums.

Very very impressive on street tyres. Man, you'll be peaking into the low 11s or high 10s with just a change of tyre to MT's. Crazy. Good work!

The credit has to go to Jim @ Tunehouse, he tuned the car to come on softer and gradually put the power down. I still had heaps of wheel spin, but it was manageable and fun!

I had to do a half decent burnout to get some temp in the tyres ...

Jim wants me to go to MT tyres, but I want to give it another go on street tyres in a couple of weeks ...

I heard that 11.8 sec is the record on street tyres?

To the best of my knowledge I'm the only other person to run 11's on factory Dumlop 17's. I think my best 60' was also 1.93 but it may have been 1.91.

I think my best time on the 17" factory Dunlops was 11.7-11.8 I'm not 100%. I'd have to go through hundreds of timeslips and try find the right ones.

An 11 on the stock tyres is an awesome effort.

A genuine 330rwkw's with good rubber should easily get a 10.

Geea. :tease:
