I am looking to add some subs in the back for that little extra beat! Im looking at putting in 2 10" JL Audio W6's, and a 1000rms monoblock! I have the premo sound and I didn't really want to change the speakers cause they sound pretty decent! Anyone know what brand our premo speakers are and does anyone have any W6's! I wouldn't expect anyone to have the subs thier fairly costly!

I wouldnt discount replacing them but it is up to you really. I would remove the stock sub altogether so you allow for bass sounds to flow into the cabin, otherwise you won't hear a whole lot. Other than that sounds like you will end up with a thumping system. How much are the W6s you are buying? The W6's retail everywhere for $899 each, but I can get it $500 each! JB's best price was 650 each! The amp im buying for 900. Ebay has these subs but u can only order from america and they end up being the same price cause of postage! Expensive stuff :(

Posted 21/08/06 10:33 AM Share Posted 21/08/06 10:33 AM (edited) if all goes to plan I am getting 2 of the exact same subs and the jl 1000/1 by the end of the week. I presume is the amp you are talking aboutis the 1000/1. they are amazing subs. if you haven't heard a w6 before dont worry, they will blow you away....you will probably want to change the speakers though, and amp them up... 2 w6's could be a little overwhelminggo with jl's 300/4 4 channel amp and grab yourself some good splits for the front and some 2 way 5x7's for the back (or the leave the rears if you cant be bothered and amp them anyway)some speakers worth looking at are that arent super expensiveJL VR600 6in splits - RRP $419Alpine SPR-57LS 5x7 Type R splits - RRP $349Alpine SPS-571A 5x7 Type S splits - RRP $289I know you say you are happy with how they sound now, but jump into a car with good splits running properly off an amp and you will change you mind Edited 21/08/06 10:34 AM by CL1MAX
