Got to wonder if it os legit or not. Or... if there is money owing on the car.Bid by all means - but make sure you inspect the car, and find out about ownership / debt before handing any money over. Fill up a small fuel container with 96, run the car until distance to empty is 0 then another 30kms - then fill it up with 96. The extra container is just insurance in case it runs out. I would sell your car privately (get more) and get finance from a bank (better rate) then buy the (or any) car.Get the vin number off them - and ask Ford to check their system for history - see if anything odd turns up (unlikely).Also- make sure that no money is owing on the car.I dont think you need to worry about Traction Control, Stereo, etc - they are all standard. In fact that car is base XR6T except for mats, and flaps.Just be sure that you want the car as is, ie dont want the brakes (yes you can add later for a couple of grand), leather, manual, etc etc. I think you can be picky, there seem to be heaps of 3 year old cars on the market, nearing or out of warranty.last bit of advice - dont rush. Venom Red, Mercury Silver and Black. Blueprints seem to be rare well I have seen a few but all have had the blue/green Fleck interior which I dont like at all but I really do like the blueprint colour.what are your thoughts on leather? hot in summer, cold in winter I imagineI was going for the Deluxe (Black & Grey Fleck) looks good.I am looking at selling my XR6 privatly now but I think I would only get $6000 anyway pretty high K's at 204,000 would even consider $5000 for a quick saleI have also had a couple of people offer me an 03 and 04 on my auctions I have listed the 04 sounds good but 2 things I'm not to sure about its Black(Hot and hard to keep clean) and has Leather interior he wants to swap my car and $21,000.Anyway thanks again cobra when I get a T I would love to cruise to Wellington meet and have a beer with ya.Cheers mate.
