Im thinking the way vehicles are devaluing Leasing might be the way to go in 4 years an 03 XR6T that cost me $25k, $19k with trade and $25K again with interest will only be worth what maybe $10 - 12.000.

My 95 XR6 cost me $22k all up and now its worth $6.000, that sucks

some Leasing benifits can be...

No Rego or WOF costs

Serviced for free

Tyre replacement depending on lease term

24hr breakdown cover and replacement if needed.

Not sure about insurance but I guess that's covered to as what would you care its not your car.

and BEST OF ALL you get to drive the latest XR6T  every 2 years or so.

Terms range from min of 12 months to 45 months max and all you need to do is estimate your annual kms

They say its more for a small bussiness or the self employed but I dont know so much.

It just makes me wonder now my car is worth $6.000 and cost me $22.000 :gooff:  :crybaby:

Don't kid yourself mate - lease includes factors for depreciation, servicing, reg, tyres etc etc. Unless you can make the use of the tax benefit - I can not see how you can be better off in the long run.

Another question....

Are the 03 and 04 XR6 bodys the same and same body kit etc or are they a bit different I thought they were the same but the more I look at them the more I think the 04 is better maybe I am just seeing things or its just a colour illusion.

Cheers...

Jason.

All BAs are the same externally, except Mk1 and Mk2 have different mag styles (mk1 has inward dented spokes, mk2 centres are raised), and there are colour differences - eg Mk2 has Shockwave replacing Blueprint.

The BFs have an upside down opening for the intercooler.

What sort of troubles could you have with the turbo, I here everyone talking about extending warranties and it being worth the money, is this because the turbo is so expensive to fix and does have minor problems?.....

Turbos used to have a reputation for blowing up. Personally, I think if you change your oil, and let the car warm up/cool down - it will be fine.

I wouldnt get the extended warranty - the benefit is all gone in the amount you have to pay to have your car serviced when you could do it yourself.

Sorry - that was a bit vague want it - Turbos as in Mistubishi Cordia Turbos, Mazda Famila Turbos etc - early 80s cars. I think the modern cars (just about all of them) are more reliable.
