I had a AU XR8 and loved it (being a v8 and all ). We sold our house back in NZ and thought we would upgrade to a BA and I would of loved to get the BA XR8 but we thought we would try the XR6 turbo and we brought it. We love it man it would eat the AU XR8 for breakfast and then spit it back out. The turbo would use as much fuel as the v8 or maybe a bit more ( I hope the wife don't see this) but that could be because I don't muck around with it I give heaps and it love's it. Well all the best and go the turbo way and you will love it too. John Loveridge ( XR6TURBO2NV ) Edited 18/08/06 09:50 AM by xr6turbo2nv

Used a lot of rentals through work and they have been XR6 N/As, have owned and XR6T and now have a GT which I just love. The NA is a very nice car and a huge step up from an AU and here in NZ there is the run out deal on the BF and you can pick one up for $35,595 which is a good buy but if you want a quick car the Turbo is for you.As for the XR8 I have driven a few of those and didnt like them in auto form but manuals are very different but I would prefer an auto in the 6T as a lot of the power is down low. What ever you choose you will get a good car. One thing that has surprised me is how much the Turbos depreciated, so there are some good buys out there

The T is in a world of its own without doubt the best car I have owned. But it has only done 5k so it has to prove itself yet.

Thanks to everyone for your your help its been great and YES I have made up my mind I am going to hunt for a XR6T.I went to work today and a workmate said he had a mate that was selling his 2005 BA XR6 in mint condition with 11k on the clock for $24.000 and I had to say thanks but Im going for an XR6T now.I really do want the 240kw its a bit like my EF XR6 after I got it every time I saw the same model XR8, I wished I had got that instead.So... the XR6T it is. Thanks again everyone that's all I needed a bit of a push from all you guys and gals who drive them.As well as looking privately I have a Car Dealer mate who has been getting me lists of 2003/04 NA XR6's that all have under 20k on them for around $24.000 NZ which I think is a fair price so I will ask him tomorrow to throw a T on the end and see what happens...For the $25.000 I want to spend I would say I will have to settle for an 2003 XR6T with low kmsI CANT WAITTHANKS ALL!Jason.PS: What does NA stand for?
