Took my car to get the horn replaced coz it was faulty, when I got the car back they have driven my car almost 19km!! I was like wtf dude 19 km for what? testing horn? he abviously didnt know what to tell me so he just said its a strandard procedure so I told him to go f himself. I didnt waste my hard earned money for this car so some as*hole can trash it evertime I bring it for service and warranty work. Next time ill wait there and when they take it out ill follow the sucker and bash the sh*t out of him if he makes one wrong move with MY car.

I had a similar thing happen. they fixed the indicator switch and drove the car for about 20kms.. thrashed it. but at least the switch is fixed :spit: also had it in for the heater which also got fixed.. after 3 days :msm:

3 Turbos, one diff and a gearbox on it's way out...Endlessly being lied to and getting the car back as bad as it was or worse. I sold the t and went elsewhere, only one ford dealer here, such a pity, even after all my troubles I walked in to buy a typhoon but got so d1cked around I went elsewhwere that day and a bought the EVO. After I traded in the T, mitsi had to replace the diff again! So it's on its 3rd turbo and 2nd diff :spit: I still love fords but the mob up here won't be getting another cent out of me.

Ford really need to go around to the cr@ppy dealers and re-adjust 'em with a pair of stilsons, applied with a rapid arm movement to the head of the dealer requiring adjustment. One day I'll get back into a ford, but not until they tidy up thier act..

Mitsi have been great, they give me a loaner, clean the car inside and out and even sorted some personalised plates for me. If Mitsi can do it, why not ford? The T is a brilliant car, it really is saddening to see it let down by the dealers, I really feel for the people in the factory working to produce these cars only to have it stuffed up by cr@ppy dealerships who couldn't care less....

I would be very careful regarding warranty work and servicing in the dealerships.

I know the dealer mechanic that services mine. I only book the car in on shifts I know he is working, and specifically ask the car to be done by him.

If you can find someone you can trust then stick with them.

out of interest what was wrong woith your gearbox? Mine has a T56 and it

s really starting to clunk into 2nd and 3rd gear, only 20 000 km on the clock and I don't think that is acceptable. But for obvious reasons I worried about taking it back to ford cause they will probably wreck more sh*t on it. Might try a better gearbox oil first and if that doesn't help ask for a new gearbox and hope for the best. I did however read in the warranty that if ford can't recity a problem then you can take the car to another mechanic and bill ford but have to look at it again cause there is a catch of course.

Zane

Got mine back yesterday, for a gearbox replacement  (warranty) ,Oh BTW it took 3 weeks ,couldn't complain much because a free replacement.....then they tell me the clutch is about to go, due to minor shutter, BTW there is an extreme clutch and flywheel in between the motor and box, I then ask about the oil, two mechanics or apprentices both NO IDEA I ask "IS IT SYNTRANS" both again no clue. I ask " HOW MUCH WENT IN " they both shrug...  DBOSS laughs, I say lets go , clutch feels wrong now,, weird wherring noise when at 1/2 clutch now,

T56 going in on the weekend...  Car now parked at home waiting for the weekend to see what the idiots screwed up...

MY ADVISE DONT TAKE YOUR CAR TO ANY DEALER UNLESS ITS GETTING DONE FOR NOTHING , they just cant get anything right the first time... hopeless...  :crybaby:

Anyone know who to ring if we're not happy with the dealer?

13 FORD

And I have had my car to two different dealers, the first one was useless and expensive, the second one I have nothing but praise for. If you aren't happy with your service take it somewhere else!! These  dealers need to learn that this sort of thing will lose them money. I recommend people in perth to go to centre ford, and definitely NOT to go to NuFord.

I requested the heat shields to be tightened at 45k service 4 weeks ago, the rattle is back and is worse than before.

not going to take it back to ford, too much f%$%ing around to drop and pickup and the likelyhood to of picking some other nasty problem.

will attempt the fix the rattle myself don't know how though.

I'm gonna try to fix the heat shield rattle as well so if anyone has any tips that would be great, otherwise I will just rip it off until I get a new exhaust for it. at least this has encouraged me to finally get some bigger injectors, intercooler and custom tune as I;m not to concerned about the warranty anymore.

Dont rip off your heat shields unless you really want to melt your brake fluid reservoir... I have seen this happen and it ended with a few trees.

Just get in there and see where the rattle is coming from. It might not be where u think it is coming from.

Yeah I thought it might be coming from somewhere else. gonna get it up on ramps on the weekend and have a look. Ford did and reckoned they fixed it dont know what they were listening to. Thanks for the tip, could be tears without the brake fluid lol...
