If you are really concerned about your economy, catch a bus or drive a 4 cylinder. If your oxygen sensor was stuffed, you will probabally get worse economy then that. Too rich = using too much fuel in my book.Similar in my old EB XR8 - that was replaced - used less fuel, went better.I reckon you should get more than 370k from a tank. My Manual mk2 (6 speed) going to and from work - mainly on highway, but in heavy traffic - average of 50km/h usually gets 470 - 500, driven fairly hard.So... how much are they? worth a shot? I travel about 40km to work - usually takes around 40 minutes.Anyway - check your average speed. At around 50km/h average, normal tank lasts 470km in my car. Fat-Tony Member 5,364 Member For: 19y 3m Posted 17/08/06 12:12 AM Share Posted 17/08/06 12:12 AM average speed of 42km and my fuel economy is well 480-490 out of a tank being sensible. 02 sensors last a while, I dont think there is any1 with a T that has done enough kms to justify changing it Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/27776-oxygen-sensor-can-improve-fuel-economy/#findComment-422711 Share on other sites
