Good work Jack :pinch:

I go to the gym about three nights a week after work and then footy training the other two (have weekends off :msm: ) the hardest part is establishing a routine, once you have it just becomes second nature to go! I'm lucky as it is in the same office block as I work so I have to walk past it to get to the car! :idunno:

Like someone said it's great too meet hot chick's too :msm: so that's a bonus!!

What gym are you going to mate as I'm at one in the eastern suburbs??

Good on you Jack for actually getting of your but and doing somthing, as they say the first step is the hardest! I have been on health kick for about 9 months now and have really got into running, to the point where I am running between 20 and 35 kms a week. I only have another 5 kg's to loose to hit my goal weight and once I do that I want to try and ease of on the running and start doing some work in the gym. How much did it cost you to join and what do you get for the cash?

Good on'ya Jack,

Sounds like a great way to get back into the swing of things.

I had an illness last year where I was pretty much flat on my back for about 5 and a half months.I was surprized how fast I got back into routine once I was on my feet again.I couldn't wait to get back to work,I didn't think I would ever say that

Well done mate.

Bob.

I'm in the gym 5 times a week doing weights, play touch footy 2 nights a week, run Monday and Wednesday mornings and try to swim in the ocean at least once a week.

Ran the city to surf on Sunday in my best time of 56.06 which I am really happy with.

Fitness and health is the best thing you can ever have. If you havent got your health, you have nothing.

Get a membership and even a personal trainer. But remember, there is more that just the gym. Join a sports team for fun too, it helps if you're part of a team for motivation.

Good luck and dont forget if you want to lose a bit of weight you will need to eat healthy as well.

Well done Jack, without knowing what your injury was, make sure you check with your quack that the routine you are going to do wont injure you any further. You've inspired me to look at the Home Gym and walking machine I have sitting at home. Ok, there, Ive looked at it, that's my excercise done.

How'd the Crows go on the weekend?   :tease:

Never you mind how they did last week!

They are doing just fine.... :msm:

Better than any mexican team, that's for sure. :msm:

Hmmm, are there any mexican teams that will make the top 4?

:tease:

ps.... good to hear you're on your feet...

Another tip for you: It helps going to a gym with lots of eye candy.

Gives you an added reason to shape up.....

The gym I've joined is in Rowville, it's at the Kingston Links Golf Course just off Wellington Road...

I was thinking of doing something like that as I used to play basketball when I was younger and loved it, but due to work commitments it makes it very hard for me to be available during the week, as I work 7.30am-7.30pm everyday.

There's a man I can identify with.

But, I did re-start this morning. Out walking the streets at 4.45am then a bit of stretching and a few weights for about 20 mins.

My serious weight training takes place with what I'm carrying around when I walk....

I hate gyms I find them boring. Id rather play as many sports as I can. It does breed a different type of fitness though. After a big accident, sport is not really an option.
