On ya Jack way to go don`t forget to get the phone no.s of all the hot chicks your going to meet.

Seriously though, If you can find someone that will go to the gym with you that will make sure you stick with it .Even if you make a new friend at the gym.

Your more likely to stick withit if you have a training partner.

I went for 5 years. there was 6 of us  first year 2 left 4 of us, 2nd year 2 left 2 of us, 3rd year my mate left and it was only me for the last 2 years. But at least by that time I had made alot of friends there.

im with stang, a training partner is a great idea, if you can find someone to stick with you. in the five years I have been going I have had about 4 training partners, all too slack to stick with it more that a year or so.

good luck with it

Thanks guys for the encouragement!!

A couple of my mates already go to the gym, just sadly for me they don't live anywhere near me, so I can't go with them... but you're right Stang I reckon it would be maybe not easier but a bit more fun going with someone that I already know... but there in is part of the journey for me, doing something that I'm not entirely comfortable doing and meeting some new people along the way...

And the people that were there today were really nice, so I think it will be good!!

Edit-No deek I'm not going to play with Strauchanie...

How'd the Crows go on the weekend? :spoton::gooff:

Driving express or general carrier?

I work for TNT Express here in Melbourne... out of the Hallam depot. I drive an 8T truck...

well done mate, hope u get well soon..

gym is a great idea not only its gonna be fun but u will be healthier every day, myself, my bro and cousin have been going 5 days a week for the past few years and my uncle for around 10 years regularly. Its definately fun and good for you..

If you plan it out properly you can go regularly without it, interfering with work etc.

I also agree with having a training partner with you, not only for company but to help you out if u need it. Having your workout planed out helps so when you go in to the gym, u wount just jump on any machine but work every part of the body throughout the week.

good luck mate and keep at it once you start.. :idunno:

Thanks Muzza... yeah I think the biggest obsticle for me is actually going down and becoming a member... the training will be the easy part. Stepping out of my comfort zone...
