Wouldn't you need to change the gearing also assuming 200mph is approx 320kmh.. So it wouldn't just be a power thing it'd be diff and gearing?

Don't know about the manual but with th zf you get near the limiter in 5th pretty comfortably so I think it would go to 200 if you had the power, restriction removed and a long enough straight.

APS did it years ago in a 5 speed BA with a stage 3 kit on an airport in victoria back in 03'

Can't see how hard it is to get over the 300km/h barrier, even with the zf

All you need is boost up and heaps of camber / good coilover / stronger chassis

300 in a five speed, that has to be complete BS? My BA was strugglin over 200, not that the box would even hold the power to get there..

Must of had a different diff in there I guess, but still the power needed doesnt add up.

had an xr8 diff according to the article, and somewhere around 350rwkw

XR8? They'd be slower wouldn't they?

How easy do these things doing it though? One of my favorite sounds in the world is slotting into 5th, how good does that sound? :turboboink:

Can't tell in the vid but you'll know it when ya hear it. That was coming up my parents drive way which is a private road for those playing at home.
