After having a chat with the guys at North Coast Customs, we put my pretty much stock (2nd cai & K&N) car on the dyno and here are the results.

I'm guessing this readout is in fwkw and not rwkw? How is this possible on a dyno? I thought they only gave rwkw results.

I was talking to TMS up until a while ago but I am pretty sure he was intending on using the VCM suite, I think it is? Peter there seemed really awesome, but if North Coast Customs are using the genuine capa edit then I might have to have a good chat to them. Hard to know where to go to up here

Cheers

yes Peter is a top bloke.

Vcm has not released it ford software yet.

Its more than a year overdue.

I am trying to convince him to get the Capa software.

He is a top tuner too.

They are in RWKW but if your car is close to stock then it incorrect or you have the award for the highest output for a stock XR6T.

Well I picked up the car 2nd hand in January so it could have had some stuff done to it, the guys at the shop reckon it has somehow.

The next question is.....how can I tell what has been done to it? I know the exhaust and intercooler is still all stock and it has blue injectors (not sure if the blue are stock). I suppose I can check out the spark plugs and see if they have been gapped to .8mm or not.

You'll notice the left hand side is indeed in flywheel kilowatts.

DD dynos do have a setting to output flywheel kws onto the printout. I wouldn't trust it, although this printout looks on the money for a stock car. But, for ease of comparison go back and ask for a prinitout of the unadjusted rear wheel kws. You won't need to run your car up again, it should be saved on their computer.

Ok, I went back and got the proper dyno sheet (will post it soon) for rwkw and it has 210kW. Which is pretty good for a manual on BP ultimate.

So we're going to run a 9psi custom tune which will hopefully get it up to 240-250kW.

I had the bosch 968 injectors but they said not to put them in until the exhaust and intercooler gets done. Not quite sure why though?

Beats me.

You will no doubt have more power (and consistency) with the exhaust and cooler fitted, but you could have run a lot more on the standard equipmwent WITH the injectors in. :nono:
