I had my 65k service done recently and the service guy tried to get me to pay $100 so they could tighten the exhaust bolts. I asked if this was a regular service and he said ford recommended T owners do it every service? I thought he was BS'ing as this guy keeps trying to add all these services to me.have any of you been asked this? and if so is it necessary to do the tightening← Sorry to bring back an old thread.Went to my dealler the other day, Klosters at Cessnock, to ask them if they charge to tighten these exhaust bolts as im due for my 35000km service, and they had no idea what I was talkin about, so I spoke with the mechanic bossman and he told me there was no extra tightening of bolts in regards to the exhaust , manifold etc in the turbos and basically told me that he had no idea what I was talking about. Made me feel a little bit silly. I have printed this thread to show the "mechanic" but is there an easier way to explain it to him? Has anyone else had problems with this service not being done or mechanics not knowing about this problem?I thought that I was pretty clear in the way that I explained it to him and the dealer. ideas?
