That must be one heck of a smart 2 year old. I don't know any 2 year olds that can grab keys, go to the garage, open a car door, find the switch that turns on sirens??????

I hope you don't stretch the truth with any of your answers on this thread!

Not that hard, it's a big red button, he has a police car fetish so he knows were it is not the first time he has pressed it and is also facinated with cars oh he is 2 1/2 and I keep that key by itself although it has just been put up a bit higher.

another question for slymeat ..... and what a great thread

I travel a lot between Cooma and Canberra I have the cc set to 105 and I have had no problems. I come up to a slow moving vehicle say 90 now when it is safe to pass you give the T heaps and for a couple of seconds the speed may be 120 or so. What would the police officer do when the radar machine went off.

Answer posted in the answers thread.

:crybaby: My older girl's not 2 1/2 yet but she's set the T's alram off on several occasions now, sometimes much to my embarassment (eg. in a shop, hear a car alarm going off, wonder whose it is, then realise it's my T with the flashing lgiths going! :nono: ). She likes pressing the nice red button on the remote pad.:thinkof:

Sly,

I have a few hoons that live near my house.

They have mega rice-a-riso cars and tend to lay burnouts near my house and speed. I have clocked them at 102km/h on my LIDAR in a 40km/h zone.

If I catch them on video, can the police prosocute them for hooning/burnouts based on my video evidence ?

Would I need to be identified and be involved, or could I be anaoymous ?

I have spoken to these cretins, but they continue to drive like iddiots. Apparently their neighbours hate them as well.

I think they need to be taught a lesson.

For some of the states that don't have a direct link this may not become apparent until you were involved in an incident, but they are now definately linked.

This may be the case and when I had seen this done before might have been before the systems were linked. :spoton:

Sly,

I have an interest in speed detection.

I purchased this LIDAR

It is a good unit and very accurate, I have hit a target at over 600m on a tripod.

How come I very rarely see police using LIDAR on mono/tri pods ?

I would fight any ticket that was shot by LIDAR is it was only hand held as it is very prone to errors.

As suggested HERE the General Questions thread was lacking some structure.

So based on Ani's suggestion I've changed the format of the thread...

There are now 2 threads, this thread is used to post and discuss the questions and answers.

Once Sly has provided an answer to the question his post will be moved into the Sly's General Questions, The Answers. This way all the questions and answers can be easily found without having to read through heaps of posts to find them.
