Thnx guys, my confusion and questions solved. True on the T5, all the mods are long term process but edit and exhuast are the 2 first things, also when I meant custom cooler, I meant to say just a fatter, thicker one that will bolt straight up to existing pipework without mods. Mr Enforcer does all my work and he uses PWR cores. But the T56 conversion is the first big dollar conversion that will be undertaken before all the rest of the mods will be carried out.

The standard clutch is sweet and I think it may have been replaced sometime ago as it grips/clamps hard, I've done a few hard launches in it and no stinky smells or fade. But its all a matter of time and dollars before my goal is reached, that's not even the wheels/suspension/bodykit/paintwork/stereo to mention.....

The "t" was meant to be pimped out....wheres XIBIT with pimp my ride, pimp my "t" :smilielol::idunno:

Leave the factory exhaust alone... it will make good power, all I have changed on my car is the cat, factory dump pipe and the rest of the factory system is still in place... other than the cat the only performance mods I have done to get over 300rwkw is Nizpro injectors and Nizpro valve springs and of course the edit...

Your money is far better spent elsewhere than on an exhaust at the minute!!

Sweet so for now, just upgrade the cat and have a dump pipe done for it. I might hold off on the dump pipe as Im gona have pretty much the same setup as WHPLSH. So I'll invest in a decent cat.

So the 2 mods I should only undertake with the T5 is

1. CAPA Edit

2. Good flowing cat

That should equate to enough fun.....

I don't know of the car WHPLSH... just for now, if you aren't going to get injectors and valve springs at the same time I would hold off on the cat... just get the edit first and see how you go with that... then reassess after where you want to go with the car, knowing that you still have the T5 in place...

If I had my time again I think I would've waited until I had enough money to get a dump pipe to go along with the cat... so that is something else to think about...

True, will do that. Edit for now, and will keep in my mind of all the mods and requirements needed to sustain a healthy 270rwkw. ie T56, valve spring and retainers and so... save the dosh and do the mods in stages....

Edit for now will do me fine :spoton:

Thnx for all your help guys...I've seen the light :busted1:

Just kiddin no cops yet

Good decision mate in my opinion... and it really is only that, but if you are like me and drive your car to work and what not each day then this is the way to go, to me, it's nice to have a quick car, but that quick car is absolutely useless if it's parked in your driveway with a broken transmission... that you can't afford to fix.

I waited until I could afford the T56 with a quality clutch before I went further with my mods simply for reliabilities sake... now that I have the T56 with good clutch I know that I can take the power to around 330rwkw relatively safely on a stock engine... from there it's going to be more money if I want more power.

I reckon you'll be over the moon with just the edit only for now... good luck with your mods mate!!

Just quick question, who could install the CAPA edit and tune it, and where will the unit reside/be hidden from prying enforcement agencies ie: :busted1:

Just quick question, who could install the CAPA edit and tune it, and where will the unit reside/be hidden from prying enforcement agencies ie:

You have emailed Jim at Tunehouse already, I would speak to him first about tuning your car... in saying that though, remember to shop around, get different tuners opinions on what they think, and then make the decision yourself on who you think is best equipped to do work on your car... you have paid good money for your car, don't go throwing away all the good work you've put in so far by giving your car to someone you aren't sure about.

And with regard to the edit, it is completely stealth, once the tune has been loaded in to your car, you put away the CAPA flash box, be it in your wardrobe or the boot of your car and off you go. No-one is any the wiser, for all intents and purposes visually it is impossible to tell that you have done anything to your car.

For the record... I keep my CAPA flash box on the floor of my car behind the back seat...
