Yeh Autotechnique sent me an email saying...

" Due to product issues (CAPA Flash Tuner) we no longer support it. In February we will be launching a far more sophisticated system which will solve all of the issues".

that's the info I got not sure if anyone knows bout it.

I don't think the CAPA flash tuner has any probs, but just like the unichip, the exede etc, a generic stage anything tune is always going to be better with a custom tune by somebody who KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING :msm: .

From what I've seen being a mechanic doesn't help when you flash the tune up on a computer screen (what a bloody nightmare). I think that to make any of these programmes work right the mechanic needs computer skills as well as mechanical knowledge, that's why I only let Simon from Xtreme in the West touch mine.

As far as a newer and better flash tune coming out I can't see how it could be any better, considering the CAPA flash tune can change all of the parameters Ford put in there in the first place.

I think the best that could be achieved with this apparent better new flasher is that we will see a repeat of the Unichip vs Exede, mines better than yours discussions that used to happen on the forums before the flash tuner was released. As with those programmes I had to drive my GT from Perth to APS in MELB to get it tuned and fitted properly. Regardless of what road you take, the unit is only ever going to be as good as the tuner. that's my 50 cents for what its worth.:blink:
