My first post -

I have a new BF XR6 Turbo - with reversing sensors. Trouble is I can't hear them with the stereo on or my baby crying. I tried to increase the volume as per the manual - but it did not work.

Is this normal - or should I be able to increase thr volume of the reversing sensors?

They are so quite in mine that I dont even remember purchasing them :P

They are very loud in my fathers BA so they must be able to turn up! Go to your dealer ... they will only charge you $100 haha

It does come through the stereo, but the rear channels only. When the sensors are activated the volume of the rear channels drops and the sound comes from the rear. Trouble is - as I said - I can't hear it unless the stereo is way down and my baby is quite.

In The fairmont Ghia you Can turn it up and down through the stereo.

However on the "lesser" models you cant do jack :fool: .

The only thing you can do is remove some of the insulation from around the speake to increase the volume while reversing.

Ford doing things on the cheap
