Will one of these cat's bolt up to an aps exhaust.

I'm sure anything's possible, but why would you want to do that? The APS cat is a very fine piece of gear. But if you insist on going this route let me know and I'll take the APS cat off your hands! :thinkof:

Didn't know if the Aps system had a big cat or not, next question is will the 4" dump pipe bolt up to the APS cat.

I got mine done by magic in sydney they have a jig now and can ship you a 4inch dump with a 5inch magic cat very cheap(for what it is)

give them a call and see what they can do!!

this made a massive diffrence to my car.

Hey guys,

Im looking to get about a 4'' dump pipe and high flow cat. Does anyone know what sort of prices I should be looking at for these and any good sellers of these? I live in brisbane but might be cheaper to ship them up? Also one other questions fitting a bigger dump pipe to a turbo, can it damage the turbo or engine in anyway?

thanks

Craig

Spoke to Exotic Exhaust today. They said they have done one but it was a rush job therefore didn't build a jig.

They said the next car they get they will be making a jig which will allow them to make a direct replacement that than can be shipped and fitted anywhere.

dunno what hes on about cause mine was the 3rd one they did and they built if off of the jig so I dont know

I thought it was strange also. I rang again today and spoke with Ross. He remembered my call and thought I was after a 4" pipe. After talking with this time he said he can do A 3.5" dump pipe with metal cat as a direct bolt in replacement! :spoton:

Probably not much difference. Don't get caught up in the hype of fitting 4", 4.5", 5" etc cats and big dump pipes. There is nothing wrong with the factory dump pipe.

The stock dump pipe will support over 350rwkw. I'd suggest fitting a bigger engine pipe from the dump pipe (say 3.5") that runs into a 3.5" cat and then merges into your 3" system. If you're after more boost upgrade your actuator.

I've taken my twin 3" cat and exhaust setup off my car, and have installed a single 3" Magnaflow cat and 3.5" single system. With the stock dump pipe still installed, on 11psi boost the car makes a lazy 305rwkw. I'm upgrading the actuator to a 9psi unit, will install a 3.5" metal cat next week and retune. Power should pickup by around 10-15rwkw per extra psi of boost. Maximum boost anywhere in the rev range is not to be higher than 16-17psi.

Hope that helps.
