yep my exhaust is a singli 2.5 inch exhaust with the stabdard cat.

Simon tuned my car before and I was very happy with the job he has done, I am not sure if he would like to do a tune for me without roadtesting the car though, but I will ask.

Thanks.

No wonder you can't get much power - put the stock exhaust back on - this is twin 2 1/4 and should flow much better than a single 2.5!!!!

If you are replacing the exhaust you need 3.5 minimum (even 3" as our indiicated is going backwards relative to the stock system), or twin 2.5's - standard cat is usually the restriction, but in your case you might have a whole new level of restriction - so to answer your original question, yes IMHO you would be well advised to replace the exhaust before fitting the bigger injectors - otherwise I beleive you are wasting your time.

Until you get the stock system (or something that will breath a lot better than a single 2.5) back on you will find it much harder to make good power - this will also stress valve springs and have other ramifications...

Best of luck! :crybaby:

Ben.

that's wat I thought aswell, single 2.5 and standard cat.

In my xr6t I still have the standard exshaust but 4inch Cat and dump-pipe, maybe that will be a good option for yourself. As for the Cat back I agree with with gogo, that 3.5 should be a minimum. 4inch all the way has giving simon pretty good results..

Maybe you should have a chat with simon and see what he says...

good luck with it :fool:

Absolutely endorse gogo's comments.

Leave the bloody exhaust alone - standard XR6T exhaust and cat is a darn good system and good for at least 300RWKW with instances of some running as high 350RWKW. There are more effective ways of spending your money.

If you want more noise then turn the stereo up.
