The oil companys are so competative these days and I believe that there is not a great deal of difference in the mineral oils available through the major ones. I suppose it comes down to personel choice and all that the sponsors on the forum can do is give their opinions based on experience. Mal

After close inspection we found that the tailshaft tube was distorted, not as bad in the front section but the rear section of tube was bad.As it turns out the rear section of tailshaft has rubber in it probably used as a tailshaft damper to stop driveline vibe or drone.Anyway we replaced the both sections of tube with new heavier wall tube and done another balance and all seems well. I have taken it to 2 ford dealers and both have advised that is has approx 45mm of backlash and that anything under 50 is acceptable. It also is a little noisy around the 100 mark as in whining. The car has only done 58,000ks Does anyone know a dealer that I might have some luck with getting it overhauled or replaced.←Give domineli at kirrawee a go
