Also been done one point and $100 for it (WA). Was told it's illegal to have normal lights on AND foggies at the same time too, one or the other. makes sense since they are for different purposes. I liked my extra cornering vision at night though :(

'Normal' lights OR foggies?

You're sh!t outta luck in an FG then cos the foggies don't turn on unless you've at least got the parkers on, so you can't actually have foggies on their own.

not saying anyone is wrong but I think it is stupid that it is illegal - I live in a country area and the amount of wildlife these lights have saved me from is amazing - turning them off is like putting horse blinkers on - they would improve the spread of light by 25% I reckon

They also increase blindingness of other drivers by probably more than 25% - surely we've all been on the receiving end at some stage.

Again at the risk of stating the obvious, they're not called foglights for nothing.

They are for use in inclement weather as tab said.

Surely there's something about them in the book we all have to study before we get our licence?!

as I said in a previous post mine are adjusted down to the ground - they do not shine out and blind people - after spending my whole life in the country you learn to be very courteous to other drivers

The fog lights on the falcons are pretty good, they are actually designed properly and don't shine any light above the parallel (if that makes any sense). Holden's seem to be the worst...fog lights on them suckers are like beacons.

I totally agree with you Ace on the night-time rural driving though, that extra bit of light certainly helps for wildlife spotting. :beerchug:
