Especially when comming over a crest.I don't get why people try justify the use of foglights by saying they improve their visibility to others when the main lights do a much better job, and aren't illegal.←Its because they think they look cool cant stand them on for no reason Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/27486-fog-lights-driving-lights/page/16/#findComment-418110 Share on other sites
cqae Member 229 Member For: 21y 5m 20d Posted 07/08/06 11:19 AM Share Posted 07/08/06 11:19 AM the original use of foglights is to shine low & under the fog-normal headlights actually refelct of fog & dazzle the driver. Ideally in extreme fog, headlights go off & fog lights are used. The only down side is having to wire them in with the main beam to meet various State regs.Dingah Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/27486-fog-lights-driving-lights/page/16/#findComment-418314 Share on other sites

I guess as long as they're not used within 200m of other vehicles, like high beams? Revved Member 59 Member For: 18y 9m 26d Posted 08/08/06 02:43 AM Share Posted 08/08/06 02:43 AM I see alot of talk about fog lights still I pretty sure they are called driving lights in the ford book, and they do not blind other drivers like people have said, if they are set up correctly they do not hurt at all, if anything it helps especailly during day time on high ways making your car stick out more, I drive on highway all the time and I know it helps. I admit getting a new car with bright headlights and driving/fog lights pointed in your face isn't fun... but all they need to do is adjust the driving lights Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/27486-fog-lights-driving-lights/page/16/#findComment-418320 Share on other sites

Or if it includes OEM then is that considered to be 4 already, since you have high/low beam in one light then an additional high beam next to the grille?Getting technical, I know, but I'm just curious.
