falcon73 Member 163 Member For: 18y 7m 18d Posted 20/08/06 11:55 PM Author Share Posted 20/08/06 11:55 PM $1k damn I thought I spent too much at $300.00 for the whole exhaust, fitting it myself so that will keep costs down too.I thoguht that it would be big enough as I am going from 2.5 in pacies outlet to a 3 in cat to all up together 4.5 inch worth of piping and mufflers out I have seen the 3 in cat put on another ba n/a and it helps increase the flow even though the pacies only have a 2.5 outlet. Noise was good, Power felt up, but the exhaust didn't have the sort of growl I was after. I have since removed the rear section of piping (muffler included) and replaced it with a muffler-less section of twin piping with twin BF GT tips either side. The BF GT tips seem to be a perfect fit to the XR Rear skirt, and the exhaust note itself is awesome ... Very loud on throttle and a nice burble on idle.Just a quick pic to dwell on. If you want a noticable difference.Do the cams, port the head and flash tune it aswell.I know money is the main thing stopping you but the mods you are doing wont do sweet bugger all to your peak power. You will still get smashed by stock XR6T,s.Good luck with your exhaust and other mods in the future

Plus its not the most common modded car as most go with a turbo of course they will go faster but in all the falcon should should be able to pull respectable times and pull away fairly rapidly from most holdens 6 and 8 which will be the most satisfying thing for a daily driver with baby seats and all.
