The ticking gets quicker when I accelearate as well..anyone have any ideas what this problem is?Thanks!

Load your standard map back in and DO NOT run the generic tune until you have had the car looked at. A shattered piston and a hole in the side of your block wont be far off other wise. It may be that the conrod has bent and is just touching the bottom of the cylinder bore as it rotates past bottom dead centra. If this is the case get it looked at and dont drive it until you do as if this is the problem it will cost lots more money if it breaks as they normally put a hole in the block and can even break the crankshaft. You'll find you hear it more from inside the car than out and that it's a constant speed all the time, just a bit annoying.

IVe put the default tune on and it still does it.. its definately mechanical.. It sounds like when someone has a card on the spokes of there pushbike and gets faster when u accelerate.. Its definately a big job that's for sure!!!Im currently repairing my sisters celica, which has a blown gasket, imagine urs Ull have to take out your rocket cover for starters, then going through the pain of dismantling the cylinder head, ALLINGING the camshaft pulley timing belt to TDC, valves, valvesprings, rockers, pistons, piston rings, and connecting rods just to name a few. If your gonna rectify it urself, id reccomend u to measure the clyinder bores, with a bore gauge and also a telescopic gauge, to make sure your bores arent out of shape. Also make sure to check the crankshaft and the journals for wear or warpage.San. Once dealer has looked at it, let us know what they said.Ticking could be any number of things.... Has the vehicle got any factory warranty left?Where are you based? What state?tom
