hey guys.

I have a question for you educated peoples out there.

I have got my hands on a nice polished f6 cooler.

has anyone out there put one on there t without a tune.,I mean stock not a retune.

will it be ok to mount ot and drive it easy for a few weeks till I tune the beast.

and will the generic 8 psi tune work ok with this.

I know the best thing is a custom tune but im doing this over time so as to spread the cost.

you should be able to chuck it straight on.. I ran my new intercooler quite successfully for weeks before I got my car tuned... without any issues :nono:

that's what I am hoping jet, I reckon you could get away with Typhoon cooler, make some gains, consistancy would be a better word but not go into limp mode.

Hoover what coin are you paying if you dont mind me asking, PM if you would prefer.

You will be fine with an F6 cooler... I have one on my car...

You will obviously need to get the car tuned eventually to get the full gains out of it, but for the time being you should be fine...

And yes it will work with an 8psi generic tune...

In my opinion... get a custom tune, I'm sure you've read all over this site as to the benefits of a custom tune vs generic tune... and all the posts you read are right... the extra money for a custom tune is worth it... and it is probably only a couple of hundred bucks difference between to the two... but the benefits are nowhere near as close... think of it as a wry smile (generic tune) vs laughing your a$s off unable to breathe (custom tune).

Unfortunately that advice is not so good for me as I cannot tune. :fool::nono:

I agree jack custom tune is the way to go :nono:

I will put on the cooler then generic 8 psi

then possibly get injectors with the tune to finish it off.

its a bf so I have been told the springs are ok and already has a t56 so mabee a cluch will go in also.

should make a sweet ride

Mate your last post is a tad unclear, are you putting the injectors in then driving it around and then getting a tune or driving to a workshop who fit the injectors and tune it on the spot.

I dont think somehow that the standard ecu will drive enlarged injectors without some probs.
