There may be somewhere closer. Go here http://www.nulon.com.au/index.php

and hover your arrow over "support" up the top to make the menu drop down. Then just click on store locator and follow the prompts!

so is this stuff a proper ester oil or is it a polyalphaolefin?

I love it how people pimp a BRAND of oil rather than whats actually in it as its of no use to people other than remembering what to ask for when you go to the shop???

can someone please compile a list of ester synthetics and PAO sythetics so when we talk about them we know what we are really getting other than a brand name?

well if I want to run an expensive synthetic oil that will stand up over a long period at very high temps when you got your turbo really glowing, I would make sure that I had a 100% ester synthetic rather than a PAO synthetic. The esters are usually more expensive as they are not derived from crude whereas PAO are. I would say based on price alone, that this new nulon oil is a PAO- which is fine for most people anyways. id only spend the extra $$$ on an ester oil if your one of those people that likes track days, or likes to drive like your on a track :sadcase:

you can read more on this subject if you simply google etc... it just pisses me off how these companies dont tell you what they are, which almost gaurantees that its a PAO. all you get is the usual "better protection under extreme conditions such as towing":blush: and they all have the same speil it seems...

From the Nulon site re: their 100% synthetic oils:

High shear stable polymers and 100% synthetic base oils form the basis of this technically advanced engine lubricant.

To me, "100% synthetic base oils" would not include a synthetic base derived from crude oil (PAO).

just went down repco and picked up 8L of motul 300v 100% ester for $200, OUCH!

this stuff and also redline I believe, are the only ester oils I know of that suit the xr6t.

0% shear loss.

180+ degrees Celcius stable. (very low volatililty)

esters have much higher film strength than PAO`s, and it 'sticks' to metal better for cold start protection...

IMHO, the best oil on the market, IF you give your car a real hard time...
