Thanks for the heads up Steve.. Will definately be throwing some in soon... Had fully synthetic Helix in now for about 4000k's and hate the stuff with a passion......

Why is that? Me I cannot tell any difference between oils, so to a degree I rely on what you guys tell me. Are you getting poor reading of guages, does it feel diffrerent. Generally why is it crap for you?

Scotty

I reckon Helix Ultra is too thin.

Well lets see some comparison of the qualities... if its a full synthetic then its up there with mobil 1... what are the differences? I'll be definitely on the lookout for some soon if it's as good as it claims. I was going to switch to castrol Edge but having dramas finding 1L bottles and its still expensive.

I have had excellent results with Shell Helix Plus semi-synth 15w-50 changed every 7.5k with a PureONE oil filter (comes coloured in metalic shockwave blue :spoton: as well).

Engine runs quiet and smooth in cold or hot weather. Certainly much better than crapsol magna-tek.

Willing to try the Nulon stuff if someone could kindly help me get trade price...

Where is Nulon stocked in Melbourne?

Coming up for a service soon may have to give it a try :funnydance:

I've only had my car for approx 4000kms so I've only just done the one service (60000). I used Mobil 1 oil and I find that the motor now runs smoother and quieter than before when it had the Shell Helix in it.

Has anyone switched from Mobil 1 to this Nulon stuff? If so, how do the two compare?
