geeseman when quoting me quote me not trana and yes I know spiro uses ems but as far as I know he has never successfully done one / tried to do one into a t?

There are quite a few EMS tuners out there. To say that you are a part of an elite few is silly.

Try reading that again now Stevey.

EDIT: Just to clarify, when he said 't', he's referring to the Ford XR6 Turbo :tease:

I read it fine. To state again for those who do not understand there are quite a few ems tuners out there to suggest that none other than those mentioned by dw can tune ems on a xr6t is silly.

..But it cant do the diff ratio..

would this be a problem if the EMS was used instead of edit??

What's the story trough....

aren't you happy with your edit tune?

tom

my tunes are fine what makes u think otherwise :spoton:

im just curious, but as DW states the edit is needed to change certain things still.

basically I was wondering could ems be used as a STAND ALONE ecu without the edit.

it can when retrofitting it to a xf/or a cortina for example etc

there are tricks to making them run and then smoothly that only vince and I know so it is posible for spiro to do it but he would need time to find these settings and wiring tricks out!

but once again yes I know spiro tunes ems and is within the top 5 ems tuners in sydney!!!!

ask him about revtronic! and if it got off the ground who was the first dealer inquiry!!!!!

Ok. I had EMS in my XR6T ute and I have EMS in my EVO 9 at the moment. I highly recommend it and I have had EMS in many cars previously and have no problems whatsoever. The only problem I had was the unbelievable power, my ute made 269kw at the wheels with just a 3inch exhaust and 10psi. The power was unbelievable and the Torque was enormous. My EVO 9 at the moment makes 238.7kw at the 4 wheels and only on 20psi, bear in mind they do come out factory 15psi. All I have is a good exhaust system, air filter and the EMS ECU. Standard the car made 148kw at the 4 wheels. The tuner is the most important as well. All my cars get tuned by V&E Rigoli Racing at Wetherill Park in Sydney's west NSW. He is a great tuner and I highly recommend him. Nick (dynowog) and Spiro are also tuners of the EMS ECU and for my knowledge are good tuners as well. Sorry about my gas bagging.

You dont have to be a brain surgeon to do an average tune which is usually what you get with fully programmable aftermarket EMS.

Getting the power is the easy thing. Getting the cold starts/temp corrections/decel mixtures-timing and few other drivability variables right is what makes a good tune.

Take it a step further then theres the tuner who also knows how to tune for economy/ power/emissions. Not many of them around.

that's why the tuner is the most important. Vince at V&E Rigoli Racing has had many cars such as Lancers and WRX's pass the EPA emmission tests at their inspection stations etc...

I've heard some really good things about V&E Rigoli and from owners of all types a modded cars sounds like he certainly knows his stuff, now all we need is for him to start tuning with the Edit as the NSW guys are busting for a good Edit tuner :fool:

CYA JEFF :tease:

PS:Joe change your sig you are in the 11's
