I simply wired this up to a point inside the DVD/STB unit where I had cut the units own IR signal and replaced it with the car's one. Inside the Skymaster, there is a cable coming from the front panel (which has the display, IR and buttons) to the main board. Where this joins the main board, you can see the "IR" signal labelled. If you want I can probably take pictures of the auto switching cct and the IR patching inside the unit. Like this one Diversity Antenna . It's not very good whilst moving either - unless you're in Hobart under the transmitter up on Mount Wellington

Every one of those diversity antennas I have seen has 3.5mm plugs. My TV Tuner card only has a ANT IN port, not 3.5mm.I got this antenna off ebay and same deal, it has decent reception when stopped, but when you move it goes to sh*t so I will have to keep on looking.Possibly this antenna, or this antenna. There are other TV Tuners out there which do output in NTSC, but they lack some of the functions that this one has.Just can't win......at least, just can't win cheaply!!Panda

With carputer I'd have instant access to everything I want - its a computer so has all the functionality - can store all my dvd's/mp3's etc - use TVedia to access all the media - same as ive got running in the loungeroom with my MCE Remote - very handy. Plus can use HiP 2 map pc functions to the remote control. But the digital tv/dvd setup would be basically 'plug N play' setup. With your carputer setup Panda I noticed in another thread u had Google Earth tracking you. Is it possible to have live tracking of this so ppl can monitor where preeeecious is while shes on the road? Im guessing u need an active wireless connection for this or is this supported by google earth / Goops and the GPS connection???

Basically you need to have internet connection all the time (GPRS enabled mobile, or possibly the Wireless Broadband) plus a GPS Receiver and carputer. Here's some info on Goops - http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=68799http://sites.onlinenw.com/goops/goops.phpWireless Broadband -http://my.bigpond.com/internetplans/broadb...wireless/about/Panda
