Mate 6am is our normal time. We leave by 6:30 and get to the track about 8ish.

By the time every gets signed in, gets their car ready (I.e. shed extra weight, pump up tyres, etc...) it's 9am and can be the first on the track.

Is it worth getting a set of cheaper 16'' or 17'' tyres for the day and flogging the hell out of them. I have 19x9 on the rear and at $900 a tyre I dont really want to go through them that quickly :spoton: .

I have a mate who owns a tyre shop so should only have to pay for the tyres and that's it :yeahyeah:

Your tyres, brakes, suspension and pretty much everything will cop an absolute flogging, not just your rears either.

However, going to wakefield is a good way of finding out the limitations of your car in street form. :spoton:

I'm hoping I dont eat through the front pads, there the stockers but still meaty... Last track day I spend some time driving round goulburn with no brakes looking for a brake shop! I shot a pad out at the end of the straight... no fun there

Yeah... I'll have to do some casual cool down laps I think

Hopefully it'll be quiet there so we can go out and stay out for a decent time
