Well done on your project, and a top looking ute.

Those wheels look huge, and definitely require larger rotors and 6-pots, as the other guys have said.

Obviously you are aware that you are on the limit of the stock turbo, and you have done the right thing strengthening the bottom end.

It is interesting to see that all the guys running higher power levels, over say 350rwkw, are all using larger plenums, so they appear to do the job. There are not too many cars atm making 400rwkw, so you are in a special class.

I guess you (and me and a few others) need to learn how to drive the thing to take the "bragging rights" away from the F6 UTE.

A good collection of pics.

Awesome ute... But how the hell do you get the most out of 400kws? Is it really usable?

Well simon (xtreme ford tuning) is a really great tuner so drivability is better than stock. Its a *beep* cat until you yank its chain. My mrs can drive the thing (provided its dry) and she just looks at the tacho and doesnt go over 2000rpm. Its got so much torque it'll pull any gear at just above idle so that means she can drive it up to 110km/hr which is the legal speed limit. Above 2000rpm and its an absolute animal but that doesn't mean you can't drive it flat out everywhere, just a lot of power is wasted through wheelspin (on street rubber) but that's half the fun. it'll overtake pretty much any car on the road whilst leaving black lines down the road be it 1st, 2nd, 3rd and even 4th gear and that's on new 255tyres.

I think the best way to answer your question (as I suspect many of the other guys on this forum in the 400+ club would say) is that 400rwkw isn't entirely useable but that's the exact reason we do it, because its fun.
