Mate that is a lot I got mine done at Autotech a couple of weeks back and they did a heap of work and it cost much less than what you got charged!! and to back it up you get great service and are informed of everything and they understand the XR6 T better than any Ford Dealer in Sydney in my opinion, All the little niggles they knew about and fixed straight away like the stalling, handbrake and steering wheel alignment, All taken care of straight away. Not like my 3 visits to the Ford Dealer I bought the Car from. But in saying that I did have some warranty work done During the week for a leeking Diff and they where great up at Jubilee Fors on Parramatta Road.

I will Shut up now.

I can NOT believe that anyone would take out a BMC/K&N filter and not tell the customer. That's completely UNSAT. The least they could do is leave it in the boot, not STEAL it!!!

Lets see - $740 for service + ~$150 for a BMC/K&N = $890 worth of work/theft :nono:

have to agree they have had a lend of him. I just had my 45K service a month ago, less than $150, but I did supply the oil and a filter.

Very happy about that

Peter

well ive done some servicing on toyota's at the dealer ship and they charge anything from $1000 to $1300 for a 40,000 km service (5-7 hour services)

on landcrusiers an stuff, and we do heaps every day, so I dont understand how these people can afford this stuff just for a service. I recon we are lucky, and make sure the different paces still go by the service book and dont skip stuff. because in the end the dearlerships are the guru's and quality comes at a price.

Here is the breakdown, revisiting this has brought more frustration and anger. Won't be getting a dealer service done in the future. Probably find someplace else in South Sydney.

45k handbook service Labor: $ 256.50

Washer Solution: $ 1.50 (didn't ask for this)

Oil Filter: $ 11.55

Filter Air Cleaner: $ 32.74 (got charged even if I have the BMC which got taken out)

Engine Oil: $ 64.81 (5W40)

Inhibitors: $ 33.18

Lube/Enviro Levy: $ 21.50

Wait there's more:

Rotate tyres/Balance: $ 36.00

Check & tighten Heat Shields: $ 45.00

Injector Service & Solvent: $ 90.00 (reported misfiring)

Flush & Condition Steering Oil: $ 80.00 (don't know this was done)

Total: $741 inc gst. :k24t:
