Im wondering what the max power figure is for the gcg direct replacement turbo?

the details of the turbo are as followed:

# Falcon XR6 Turbocharger Upgrade Includes:

# 66mm Compressor Wheel

# Larger, Polished compressor Cover (0.70a/r) with direct fitment inlet and outlet sizes.

# Upgraded Adjustable Actuator.

# Ported wastegate and larger diameter wastegate flapper.

# Full Repair of Turbocharger upon upgrading.

# Turnaround: 3-4 days.

# Price $1850.00 Including GST.

Good upgrade if your contemplating making more power at a lower level of boost. Those that understand turbocharging principles would know why this is a worthwhile modification.

I'm considering the compressor side upgrade and machining the exhaust housing wastegate with the installation of a larger swing valve.

 For the life of me I couldn't find anyone that had billet gears available now while my engine is being done! :spoton:

Atomic are actually working on the whole oil pump replacement with a billet item - not just gears but it is a few months away yet.

We will just have to curb revs youngy to about 6000 until then...........

Speak with Nizpro... they might be able to help you with the oil pump dependant on timing requirements and there stock levels - they have been making them for some time now...

AS for the turbo upgrade - this should be good for about 440 - 450 ish rwkw IF you have everything else in place... This means - stronger engine, completely difference intercooler and plumbing, exhaust etc...

cheers, :spoton:

Ben.

kostecki actually make billet oil pump gears here in the west now (were'nt available when I rebuilt my engine) and I believe they can be had at a reasonable price compared to what nizpro charge.

I'm more interested to see how much bottom end and mid range power would be sacrificed with the enlarged turbo over the gains made in top end with this upgrade

As I said before - no-one had any availble............

Might try again this morning. The engine is still out.

I am with you Youngy. Yours would no doubt be like mine - the thing has AMPLE power in the mid-range that a little could be sacrificed to provide a heap more up top.
