with just the edit you wont be disappointed,

but for the extra $300-400 get a custom tune to squeeze out all you can safely get and have peace of mind that all is working well

I need some feed back about the base CAPA flash, will it still put a smile on my dial or is it bland

I had a edit done on my first VZ SS (LS1 Engine) spent $900 and drove off feeling realy pissed

If you cant afford a custom tune, use the 8psi capa tune.

You wont be dissapointed.

You will feel a mamoth difference. Better than the difference you will feel when you tune a LS1..

And, once you have the box, you just go to your local friendly tuner, and get a custom tune later down the track..

Danny.

With Edits, the power goes:

Stock 180-200 rwkw

Generic Edit 8psi = 215rwkw 10psi = 230 rwkw

Custom Edit 240-260 rwkw

A Generic Edit will be very noticable. If you get the Edit from a well known tuner, you will get their generic tunes and they should be refined and very safe to use.

with custom. auto is approx 240rwkw, manual is 260rwkw.. Given the fact both will have same power @ flywheel.. Manual's just Dyno Higher figures..

But it also depends on how lean the tuner wants to go with the standard injectors.

Thanks ZAP_56

This was the info I was after.

You say getting the flash box from a good tuner they will give me there generic tunes.

I have just bought one off ebay and the supplier I bought it from says it is a generic capa tune

Are these tunes very close (if any difference) to the custom tuner generic tunes???

If it has generic CAPA tunes, then they will be fine.

CAPA are the importers and sell them to all the dealers.

You will be happy, but remember to check all the turbo hosing and make sure the clamps are on tight, they tend to pop off under higher boost.

You will also need to regap your sparkplugs to 0.9mm as the extra boost will blow out the spark and make the car rough under full boost (10psi map).
