That's the idea of the matting to stop that noise. As you would know Tab the road noise in the utes is shocking! :stirthepot:

But does it actually cover the vent holes?

I guess that's upto you, though knowing you youll do sumthing to f*ck it up :bowdown:

Did you cover your vent holes? If so has it made any difference to the ventilation of the cab?

When I do mine with the Dynamat, I won't cover the vent holes, but am hoping that the matting placed everywhere else will make a good enough difference.

I am concerned though that the majority of the noise may be coming through these vents.

When I've done it, I'll report back.

Thank you - that's exactly what I was trying to get at. And if these are covered would there still be any fresh airflow through the aircon system?

There’s not a great deal of noise, but get out of a sedan and into a ute and you'll definitely notice the difference. It’s more of a hollow noise like on an aircraft if that makes any sense :stirthepot:
