motor mag does that all the time...

in that particular issue on the 350Z vs. rx8 vs. Bimmer 1 series... the 350Z data is all wrong... it supposed to be a 221KW engine with 18" wheels + brembo brakes... a lot of mistakes lately on motor mag....

cheers,

richie

who won then!

This was the closeing statement.

At $35,990, the XR5 takes some beating (even without cruise control) and while the prices weren't settled as we went to press, the HSV is likley to cost somewhere between $42 and $43K. So, yeah, it's more gold, but we reckon the extra chassis response, the extra spring in it's step and the extra fun those things add up to make it worth the ask. And it's not just the focus that suffers at the mitts of the VRX - anything else with aspriations to this years Bang For Your Bucks title should be looking over it's shoulder, too.

0-100 in 7.5 is just way to slow for the xr5 to be taken seriously as a performance hot hatch. Sh1t the Clio was quicker than that when it came out 7 or so yrs ago.

If the editor was good enough to not have ONE mistake in a 100 page magazine where every second line is a performance number of some sort, then he wouldn't be working at a relatively small Australian magazine anyway :spoton:

Lumpy
