Yes Jack, they were suitably impressed. I receive PM's on another forum frequently regarding the F6 and it's potential.

Had the Nizpro kit fitted during the week. It seems to go ok by all accounts, but the kit is now finding the limits of the fuel system and tyre grip

Nice one!!

I used to flog my best mate in his modified VU SS ute... now he's got a VY Clubsport and haven't had a chance to have a go yet but it's nowhere near as quick as his ute was... so I should imagine there is another towelling in the making :spoton:

Jack

rofl, I spose they would have to make up the 900 kw part to make them feel better that a modded F6 kicked there asses.....

hehe that's what I was thinkin too!!! to them getting flogged by a 900kw F6 is better than a 3xxkw one hehehe

I hate to tell you Jack but some of these LS1's are seriously quick. They're getting 11.2-11.4's from head/cam in the 6 speed manuals......and the turbo'd LS1's haven't run even run yet.

I try not to make to much of a deal about the F6, otherwise they give me a towelling about how some of these XR6T/F6's with 300-400rwkw aren't even managing a mid 11 :respeckt:

Well a couple of points I would like to make.

If its light blue of course its faster, this whole "red" thing is just a myth :respeckt:

Your right there are some serious LS1's starting to get on the street. A mate of mine at work (a bean counter of all things) was sick of me bragging how I had demolished his midly modded, LS1 (300kw), got to the stage he just refused to even drive my girl :sharon: .

Well he has invested in a twin turbo setup, just got it finished for the Claremont show and whilst only running 8psi is claiming 450 KW. It is a good looking set up but unfortunately I could not go for a drive in it last Friday because of the rain and am now working up north.

Real problem is he has challenged me for a run at the plex when she opens up again, and I am concerned.

Me being a slow old fart I think he has me now. Oh well back to the ricers :msm:

I had a run against a twin turbo LS1 monaro a few months ago and I hate to say it, but it sounded and went awesome. Having said that and mine being stock, I did manage to keep up with it until it really kicked in... I'd love to see what the Boss would be able to do with a couple of hair dryers hanging off it....

Obviously... there are quick cars of all makes all over the place... I can only give you my experience with it...

The other thing with the LS1's (and I'm bagging them, I was going to buy one before I got my T) is that they have roughly 4 years worth of extra development against the XR6T's and 5 on the F6's... imagine where these cars will be given the same development time...

All you have to do is remind yourself how much more he had to spend than you did to get there. =)

No, not really. Ask Youngy, Hiddeous or Ninka how much they've paid for their upgrades, and you'll find the GENT1000 or the GENTT kit is very comparable, but with more power to boot . It only takes 8-10 psi to make over 500rwhp on the LS1's.

I knock around with plenty of those guys to know what setup's they run and how they go. Sure, the F6 might go ok on the street, but if it's numbers your after, the track is where it counts.

And to be frank, the XR6T's / F6's in WA have a poor record considering the power they make.

I posted this into the general discussion section, but apparently I heard from my bro that there was a 900kw (rumored) Light blue typhoon at Perth Burswood LS1 drive.

And also apparently it was flogging all the LS1 biggies.

The guy who owned the Porsche the same light blue F6 raced was quoting it had 350rwkw??

OK so what is the answer to the XR6T or F6 in making good numbers down the quater. Power obviousely, but plenty of people in here have that. Lessening the weight, but that is considered cheating unless it is purpose built drag car. Is it jsut a mater of more development time in getting power to the ground, or is a vastly complicated equation, that will take time and a lot of money to work out?
