Put a 20 foot tall electrified fence up all around them, throw them in some weapons that cannot fly and they can go to town on each other and leave the rest of the civilised world out of it.

The root cause is the arrogance of emperialistic Britain and their betrayal of the Arabs in WWI, then the British founding 'nations' with loyalties to Britain for the Oil. Sorry for butchering your post, you make some good points.

The root cause of the problem as I see it is religion and the fact the Arab region sees the Jews as invaders. The Zionist movement has been making claim to Palestine as their national home for the last 100 years if not more ( In reality, the Jewish people have maintained ties to their historic homeland for more than 3,700 years). Why? because they cant tolerate others. The sentiment is now mutual which is a recipe for conflict.

Israel has 6million people and 80% are Jewish, They haven’t got any oil so the fight is all about sovereignty of its nation and what is stands for.

I don’t think it will end. Although if Iran manages to get a nuke ready for action, it might end very quickly.
