Ok, checkit:

km/yr L/100km L/yr price total

25000 13.0 1923  $1.10   $2,115.30

25000 13.0 1923  $1.45   $2,788.35

     $673.05  difference per year

Umm, who the hell gets 13.0L/100km?!?!

I know my fuel bill cost me just over 4k this financial year ..

Yeah 13 is a bit high, I drive my F6 like I don't pay for the fuel...cause I don't.

Full throttle take off's at least 20 times a day and drive at speed limit plus 10% and over the last 35,400ks my car has average aproximately 11.725L/100ks.

With a worst tank of 17.5L/100 and a best of 9.3.

The worst fuel consumption was spent stitting in stop start traffic, probably never on boost once..... :spoton:

My fuel expenditure the last few years has been:

2001/02 $3840

2002/03 $3852

2003/04 $4085

2004/05 $4490

2005/06 $5430 :spoton:

It shows how much it has gone up in the last 12 months. Km's travelled have remained relatively constant each year

If you can salary package and its worthwise from an after-tax perspective this can take the heat out of the high fuel price for example you save 10% on GST to start with.

I'll give you a hint regarding my ute: FBT exempt "turbo-charged deduction" :spoton:

There is a meaningful letter in the latest Motor mag from someone on the price of fuel - it won letter of the month actually.

His best quote;

"I buy a car to satisfy a driving passion, not to save me money."

I agree it costs more to drive these things, but do you enjoy it? Hell yes! I love the smell of my burnt Sunoco race fuel at $4.12 a litre............... :smilielol::blush:
