I supose mine must be getting close to letting me down soon, it has been 3 years and about 350 Quarter mile runs, so I would say im on borrowed time

I am looking at a new tune with my new mods, wog cooler , 968 injecters , 3.5" dump , metal cat , 3.5" exhaust and gss341 walbro f/pump. what should I expect in rwk and should I have trans upgrade? ifd looking 275 280rwk now 252rwk with extreme tune , hot dogs ss induct..

Well the choice is obviously yours.

Just remember that rebuild cost once the box has failed, can be considerably higher depending on the damage done to the internal components.

Id say as a rule, the day you fit injectors, start saving for the gearbox upgrade.

If you run synthetic oil (penrite atf synthetic) and a cooler, and get the line presures lifted (through edit) at shift change only, it will hold up ok at 280rwks,if you only lift the line presures at shift change, it stops the breaking of the planitries,

at least at part throttle. that is why more planitries break with the modded boxes, is that once the valve body has been opened up so that it hits harder to grip the band and clutches, but it also hits harder at part throttle to, so it can shatter the planitries, or the 2nd gear band. (but this can be solved to by changing the light throttle settings in the software as well)

but higher then that, and you starting to push your luck like me.

Yep got that right, pretty amazing how some boxes last as long as they do :thumbsup:

Might want to start saving for some CV's as well. 350 runs Fark
