We get rid of Johnny and go with Pete, who have created one of the strongest economies on the f*ckn planet

It's called 'The Resources Boom' you ill-informed cretin. Pity alot of the profits are now going offshore (courtesy of John'n'Pete).

An illiterate monkey could have done an equally as good job with the econmy as Howard (who looks surprisingly like a mokey, come to think of it).

As for Beazley? He's a rat-fink traitor, in it solely for his own gain, just like his father was before him. Bible Thumping Right Wing Moral Rearmament Scum.

Julia Gillard all the way.

Agreed.

The economy is doing so well that at the moment, real-estate values are soring and interest rates are low enough for no-one to give a crap who's leading the country or what is going on.

I tell you what though, I pitty you fools who voted for Johnny at the last election. When interest rates go up and/or the economy slows those new IR reforms that the Liberal government have introduced will hit you badly :stirthepot:

What happen to not posting Lumpy, this subject gets on our nerves hey??? :stirthepot:

To a point you are correct about any dickhead being able to run the country during this boom period but give them some credit, Libs dont run any of the states, I think theve done a good job with these road blocks.

Can you look at me straight in the screen and tell me that Keating(although a while ago, they might have changed?)ran the country in the best possible way as not to avoid the late 80's recession........Do you think the Libs with Pete at the reins would have done any better....maybe.....maybe not??? :kissmy:

Getting back to your stats on unemployment, which are quite true, as long as you are looking at the same gov stats all the time, unless they changed the way stats were configured recently, they are the lowest they have been for a while no matter who the f*cks in or out...... :spoton:

Rant Rant...Pinko Pinko...Commie

Brendan

Agreed.

No. NO. NO!

You just don't get the game do you M6? I rant all pinko and left the everyone else on the forum call's me a dope smoking, dole bludging, hippie. No one is actually meant to agree with me. :stirthepot:

I can see the economy plummeting soon, matched on in sheer scale by intrest rates climbing, alot of people going very bankrupt and a recently elected Labour federal government holding the baby. :kissmy:

Interesting fact, this booming economy, as so many gullible people are lead to believe, is currently in VERY bad shape, as we are experiencing 'Stagflation'. Where both Interest Rates and Inflation are rising, generally these are inverse to each other. When they go up together, bad things happen. Like the 29th of October 1929. :nono:

Keating is a tough nut to discuss from a political point of view. A few important points should be raised.

1/Economic Rationalism of the 1980's. This lead the way in devaluing the Australian Dollar after it was floated, imports shot up in value, increasing inflation at a (relatively) dramatic rate as well. Keating was duped into pursuing the right wing notion of Globalisation (similar things happened in New Zealand)

2/The robber Barons. Bond, Skase et al. These guys were unusual because not only did they do the time honoured course of ripping of 'regular' people but also took the big banks for a hell of alot of money (Billions) and this had to be recouped somehow. Keating, through a weak spine and a general state of depression allowed the banks to increase their interest rates to a digusting level.

Getting back to your stats on unemployment, which are quite true, as long as you are looking at the same gov stats all the time, unless they changed the way stats were configured recently, they are the lowest they have been for a while no matter who the f*cks in or out...... :stirthepot:

The Howard Government changed the way the figures are calculated about the same time that unemployment figures began to drop...What a co-inky-dink.

Cheers,

Brendan :spoton:
