I have the option of putting either 20's or 22's on the back of the ute. just unsure of the pros and cons of doing this. what are your thoughts?

pros of 22's: with 4.11 diff gears it will bring the gearing back close to normal for the street but allow for the benefits at the track.

unsprung weight: 22's are damn heavy, but look pretty trick.

here are a pic of the two wheels on the back at standard height

I am baffled by the attraction of massive wheels on cars. To me they look out of proportion and I wonder if you begin to feel every tiny bump in the road.

If I was given a free set of wheels right now Id have 18s.

Not that I'm going to ever have to worry about it but have you checked what tyres are available in a 22? I'd love to see the cost of a decent tyre at that size.

I dare say the handling difference between 20's and 22's would be negligible.

Something useful like Enkei's or someother lightweight rim at that.

Benefits are far more than simply the weight advantage.

Lumpy :ermm:

I found the wheels in my shed, I thought they were a present from my son but after looking at the wheels I could see that he had stuffed a tyre, so I guess the $1100 for the tyre is keeping the wheels of his car
