HI Guys,

Got myself a pair of cobolt guages, oil presure and boost..

I went back to autobarn to get the t - piece for the oil presure so I can fit the oil sender whilst retaining my existing oil presure/switch.

What they said they sell is the Oil Filter sandwitch plate..

I told them I will pass.. even the guy helping me out said he was looking for a normal T-Piece by the part number the autometer guage guy said I needed..

Realistically, This will work. But not my cup of tea..

They have a whole bunch of T-Pieces. But as no body knew what type of thread the BA oil sensor had, conversation ended there..

Sure, I could pull the existing unit out, and get them too match it. but that's too hard :P

Does anyone know what thread the existing oil sender unit is?

thanks

Danny.

Just match it to the Autometer thread, I'm pretty sure all three are the same (engine block male, oil pressure sender female and original oil switch female).

Go the T peice, much better than a sandwich plate in my opinion.

Yes.. What IS the thread... I can pull it out, but I prefer not to unless it was to put the t piece in..

I bought a T-piece from Repco, VDO 230.032, I THINK it is 1/4"NPT for the original pressure sender and the Autometer was 1/8". I got that part number from a thread on here by ZAP F6 (thanks :smilielol: ) and it fitted no worries.

Sweet, just what I need. confirmation it was 1/4 NPT :)

I was 80% sure. I didnt paste it here just to be sure..

Well now that I have a part number, I can finish the installation off..

I did try a search, but I found nothing :/

Thanks guys

Danny.

can this thing be used for mechanical gauges as well? I have all the electrics hooked up for my oil pressure gauge but I havent hooked up the sender.

is the t-piece the only thing that I need?

If the oil presure fitting is 1/8th NTP male thread. then yes..
