Help Needed To Find Tach Signal

I have a stand alone shift light that needs power earth and tacho signal.

the power is a no brainer but how can I get a tach signal to send to the shift light.

any opinions would be appreciated.

I'm running a digital tacho and I had to buy a Ford Tach Driver to get the signal from the crank angle sensor. I think there is a cheaper option you can pick up from the same mob that makes the shiftkits for automatics. Maybe http://www.shiftkits.com.au/ShiftAlert.aspx

I bought one from shiftkits.com and it works well. Easy to wire and install and has a dual stage setting and the beeper sound also.

The only problem I had was buying a cheap shift light that was the light only (+ -) and not the other crank sensors etc attached to it and I couldn't find one that had dual stage lights with the pos and neg only.

thanks guys I will look into the interface box.

the shift light is a gismo and has a launch control box that takes signal from the shift light once I get the box and mount the clutch switch I will have programable launch control with anti lag and flat shift.

im not sure how this will be hooked up to the ignition it has 6 in and 6 out from the launch controll box for multi coil control but u can use 1 also.

it runs on throttle cable systems by misfiring the coils but im not ure how this will work with the fly by wire system.

im going to talk to a tuner and try and get it all hooked up with a custom tune.
