carbonford Member 16 Member For: 18y 6m 6d Posted 01/12/06 01:29 PM Share Posted 01/12/06 01:29 PM (edited) we are also planning to do some light weight CF hoods too... ... with vents of course...cheersrichie←Can we please have one that is based on air flows and pressure differances not on just what looks good. For me I only needs one vent and that is one long slot vent right a the front just above the space between the radiator and the engine. Ie drift6, evo or skyline←and that's what I would want as well... R34 GTR Nismo bonnet style... all the air vents behind half way of the bulge is gonna create some air flow problems (according to one of very famous Melbourne ford tuning houses)... and you are correct... better to put those vents just right behind the radiator...We are extremely interested in making some nice CF bonnets and will also prefer to use the press-mould method + heat to cure the bonnet, just like our interior kits instead of using the traditional laminating method to ensure the optimal weight saving and the strength... If press moulds are used, each CF bonnet (or we can also use kevlar) will be around 5.5 kilo or less... but it all comes down to the cost and demands really.... I think a normal xr8 bonnet will see the light first and follow by a vented bonnet then the rest of the CF body parts...cheers,richie Edited 01/12/06 01:32 PM by carbonford

(will definitely have a V8 bonnt and a plain T bonnet design)So are you guys interested in Drift6 bonnet (exactly the same design)??cheers, richie Edited 07/12/06 06:29 AM by carbonford
