Hi Guys,

Firstly would like to congratulate you on a great website with great info.

I have a BF F6 six speed auto in Rapid in Sydney.

I've seen the light and come over from the dark side.

From SS's to Senator's and now a Typhoon, would never have thought...

It's come out of the 3K service and I would like to do some mods though I only have approx 2K to spend.

I'm interested in the the power though sound is more an emphasis coming out of a V8.

I was thinking EDIT, K & N filter and BOV...

What are your thoughts?

I was thinking of speaking to Autotech and Croydon Motorsport, would you recommend I speak to any other Sydney tuners?

I know 2K is not much but what type of power could I expect?

Should I be considering high flow injectors and maybe a bigger budget?

Nice ride, and welcome!

Definitely edit and filter are a great start! No need for the BOV. There has been some debate about why and whether these are required at all! I am running well over 300rwkw without a BOV on my car - no probs! Will be upping the anti to closer to 500, and still don't need one...

Simon and Dave from Nizpro are going to tuning cars at Tunehouse next week - dependant on your timing, that could be a good option - I cannot recommend the Nizpro guys highly enough!

Injectors are likely to be your first limitation, and if you replace these at the same time as you get the edit, you will save on re-tuning costs. The BF F6's have been making really good power so should be a weapon!

All the best of luck! :tease:

Cheers,

Ben.

What gogo said...

Very wise advice... and the BF F6 responds so well to mods too... believe me you won't look back... I came out of a HSV Senator too and there is absolutely no way I'd go back.

For 2K you should be able to get EDIT,injectors,K&N and custom tune.I had a custom tune done by Croydon and am very happy with the performance. :stirthepot:  :kissmy:

I know HPF are doing that sort of work for round 2200, but other places want more for it, just depends on who you go to

I heard from my bro, that a modded F6 rolled up to a LS1 drive at Burswood (cheeky) and had 600KW or somthin crazy like that, and apparently it was so damn quick some of the LS1 biggies were saying "it was like we were standing still when that thing passed"

lucky SOB having that phoon, love the yellow/black ones.

I must be in the wrong crowd. I thought Simon had the F6 making the most power in Perth. That being said though, the strongest late model street car I've seen in Perth was an SS ute putting down just a hair under 521RWKW.
