What Warranty Work Have You Had Done

Dropped off the car at my current dealer of choice. Phone call at noon, picked her up and all issues have been addressed. I'm a happy chappy.

1- Sub wooffer replaced

Yep that's it.

Cuzins Ba xr6 turbo Mk1

Warranty

1. Horn- Replaced

2. Flaking 18ins (clear coming off)- Nothing FORD can do.

3. Front 2 windows slow, FORD hacked into the door mold plastics with a screw driver left plastic damaged, where the screws covers are.

4. Diff Vibrations at 120km, Normal

5. Clutch slipping- cant fault

6. Sunroof cover- fixed

7. Sunroof leaking air( replaced seal) still leaking

8. Sunroof making noises inside over little bumps (more padding added)

9. Sunroof ripples in roof.

10. Water leaking in boot little side section on right. said it was fixed. still leaked

11. Water leaking in boot little side section on right. Replaced boot rubber- still leaking

12. Water leaking in boot little side section on right. Replaced back window once, still leaked.

13. Water leaking in boot little side section on right. Replaced back window twice, airhole must of been there again, that's waht they said. still leaked

14. Water leaking in boot little side section on right. Replaced back window third time. still no good.

15. Water leaking in boot little side section on right. Replaced back window fourth time, did sh*t job all black glue on paint work over rubbers of door.

16. REplaced window again and new rubbers with glue clened up.

17. ford took it to the panel beater who eventually found leak which was seam sealer, not enough behind rear bumper.

18.Replaced window again, still has black stuff around bottom of window looks like over spray, has seam sealer in the coerner of bottom of window that hard to reach place.

Ford had his car for 1 month, just the water leak.

19. Manual gear surrounding cracked- replaced.

20. Broken drivers seat, welded bacl together, boggy.

21. Car going into limp mode, couldn;t fault.

22. Rougg idle car shacking left to right sitting at traffic lights- could not fault normal/

23. Braker shudder x 7

24. Brake squeal-normal

25. Turbo replaced

26. Car tram lining after perfect wheel alignment.

27. Coil packs replaced.

28. noisy heater fan

29. Driveline clunk

30. turbo manfold pealing

31. heat sheild rattle x6

32. movement in drivers door

33. drivers window touching rubber annoying noise.

34. Dash scratched on delivery.

35. roof scratchd where sunroof seal meets paint.

36. Paint defect on boot lid.

37. centre console squeaking

38. dash making snap crackle and pop noise's

39.ripples in doors where handles meet door.

40. Car stalling.

He sold the car.

Error codes checked overboost problem - fixed with reflash

Brake shudder - discs machined (then I replaced with PBRs)

Throttle position sensor - replaced

Rust starting in upper corner of boot - respray inside

Rust starting behind the rear bumper bar - respray area. (found when fitting reverse parking sensor)

Throttle position sensor - replaced again

Interior cabin light fitting could not switch on - replaced

Turbo outlet pipe kept slipping off at the engine crossover - replaced

Quite impressed with Mr Dealer....

Got a used 04 BA and took it into the dealer with wear on the Momo wheel and shifter...red had worn through to black although I had no idea of the cars history and couldve easily been overzealous cleaner or something....

Replaced without batting an eyelid. Given that was the only thing wrong with the car I'm happy as a piglet...

I've ADDED an issue though as I've just fitted Kings SL's all around and the creaking noises now coming from the suspension will mean a phone call to the fitter next week Noises were NOT there beforehand...

Fixed gearbox, hard to select 3rd

that's about it, car has been good otherwise

cant beleive you guys manage to get ford to replace disks/pads for brake shudder under warranty?

is it not a consumable....

ive got an 04 xrt manual goes in tomorrow: rattles close to be as bad as my old gen3 that's why im trying the blue oval, rear bumper very loose, wouldnt let me rev past 2000rpm on saturday, pops out of 3rd at around 5000rpm. problems that have been looked at getting looked at again: brake shudder-premium:new pads problem worse now, hard to get into 2nd from first kicks back, clunky diff but apart from that im as happy as a pig in s''t blows the doors of the ol gen3 + got to love options

When I told Ford dealer in Tempe Sydney about brake shudder he said it was a recall and to bring it in ASAP they machined the discs and it was fine for about 2000 Ks now it is just the same Upgrading to PBRs in a few weeks $2500

Thermostat housing leaking - replaced

Lacquer coming off wheels - next service issue

Cracked fog light (doh!) - replaced

Rust forming at joins in metal (strut tower) - next service
