Going buy the build date, it is one of the first built so it would have came with the dodgy clutch set up which should have been fixed by now. Also, check the build no. plate fixed to the console, if it starts with a P, it is an ex press test car which would have had a fair work out. Otherwise it has a few km's for an 18 month old car which might be the reason of the cheaper price.

Dodgy clutch?

Where can I find more info on the 'P' bit? Mine is P0007, Oct build (makes it a MkII).

The dodgy clutch was relating to a circlip or something that was failing following the initial release of the car and they suspended production until they had it sorted. All the initial build cars should have had a new clutch setup in by now so it shouldn't be an issue.

Don't know too much more about the press cars apart from the fact it had a prefix of P to the build no. Glenn should know, he works at a delearship. It may very well be fine, but you might also find a picture of it sideways in a wheels magazine or being flogged down the quarter mile, but there again, probabally no different to what some of the guy's on here do.
