hi, ive installed my mechanical cobalt boost/vac gauge in, following my friend. however when he took his car to get some warranty issues fixed, ford said he connected it wrong and that his warrranty was now void.

at the moment my gauge is connected to the tube behind the bov, which my friend said is connected to the injectors. where is the correct place to connect it without voiding warranty?

is it the bov tube? and before or after the bov? (left or right looking from the from of the car)

thanks

Your mate need to tell Ford to go f*ck themselves :spoton:

Warranty void for connecting a vacuum line incorrectly, who do they think they are kidding.

There are several locations where you can connect the gauge, and personally I have connected mine on the vacuum line that comes off underneath the centre of the plenum, and connect to the fuel tank purge line.

Just make sure you connect your 't' on the engine side of the one way valve (little plastic thingy on the line), as you will otherwise see no boost.

Hope this helps

Well.. if he connected it to the Fuel Regs vac line. I can see how it could cause some damage :)

Fuel reg vac line comes up, lean mixture when boosting.. not good ;)

I'm guessing that's at idle or on cruise.

Go for a drive and any stab at the gas should immediately show an increase of boost.
